On 25 April, 2015, a 7.8 magnitude earthquake struck Nepal. This has been the worst disaster in Nepal’s recent history resulting in loss of nearly 9,000 lives.
Following torrential rain in early August of 2014, Nepal suffered flood and landslides in the Tarai region. A total of 25 districts were inundated by the flood.
