Heifer Project Nepal (HPN) is a non-profit, humanitarian organization dedicated to ending hunger and poverty and caring for earth by providing livestock, education, and other resources to help poor families become self-reliant. HPN invites applications from eligible Nepali citizens for the following position:
Finance Officer – 1
Location – Field base Sindhuli/Dhanusha
Major Roles and Responsibility:
The Finance Officer will assist with financial and accounting aspects of the country program office and maintain the accountability of Heifer Project Nepal’s project partners in accordance with HPI objectives, policies and procedures. This position requires extensive travel and will be based in the field office.
Educational Qualifications and Experience:
- A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent from a recognized university in Business Administration, Business Studies, or a related field plus a minimum of three (3) years of experience in a similar context.
- Experience in the public procurement process of Nepal and managing government grants will be an added advantage.
- Practical experience in various aspects of accounting principles and practices with a good understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
- Strong skills in budgeting and reporting, and the ability to analyze and interpret financial reports.
