Kabita’s Journey from Struggle to Success:
Kabita’s journey from struggle to success began with tireless work in dairy farming, leading to her now thriving Neupane Dairy Farm with 16 cows. Her milk collection center, part of the Mahabharat Milk Collection Center, has been in operation for ten years, collecting about 400 liters of milk daily. Earning USD 1,134 a month and saving USD 378 after reinvestment and staff payments, Kabita enjoys a comfortable living and invests in her family’s future. Her success has allowed her to provide a good education for her children. Kabita’s dairy business has also consistently supported local farmers by providing employment and market connections through her collection center, becoming a vital resource and inspiration in her community

Heifer Intervention:
Kabita’s partnership with Heifer began 25 years ago when she participated in a goat project. Heifer’s cornerstones training laid the groundwork for her dairy farming success. Through the Milky Way Project, Kabita received two Korean Holstein cows, significantly boosting her farm’s productivity. Heifer’s ongoing support, including advanced dairy farming techniques, veterinary care, and regular training, has been crucial to her growth. Recently, with Heifer’s help, she was able to secure a loan to expand her business.

Future Aspirations:
Kabita envisions making Sindhuli a central hub for dairy production, supplying milk across the country. She’s dedicated to empowering other women by sharing her knowledge and encouraging them to pursue dairy farming. Kabita dreams of a future where every woman in her community has her own Holstein cow, following the “Passing on the Gift” model. Her goal is to build a network of strong, independent women entrepreneurs, fostering economic independence and self-sufficiency through dairy farming.

Final Thoughts:
Kabita Neupane’s journey from financial struggle to becoming a successful entrepreneur highlights the power of perseverance and dedication. As Heifer celebrates its 80th anniversary, Kabita’s gratitude and support reflect her commitment to uplifting her community and empowering others through dairy farming.
