Duration: July 15 to November 14, 2024

Field Visit: Extensive Field visit required.

Duty Station: Project Areas of Janakpur, Bharatpur, Butwal and Nepalgunj Cluster

Major Function:

  • Support community and technical staffs of Project for the construction of Cattle/Goat/Swine shed.
  • Ensure quality of animals procured through the projects.
  • Support project teams in organizing trainings, interactive meetings and other activities included in the projects.
  • Coordinate with Insurance companies to facilitate livestock insurance and claim settlement.
  • Regularly visit Households to observe the Livestock management practices and orient farmers on GHP.
  • Work in close collaboration with Regional of Team to support implementation of projects.
  • Ensure the effective delivery of CAVEs services at the field level and enhance their capacity.
  • Perform Job related duties as required.

 

Qualifications and skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in veterinary science from a recognized university
  • Applicants must have passed the council examination and be registered with the Nepal Veterinary Council
  • Availability and willingness to travel to field extensively.
  • Ability to coordinate with team and perform multiple tasks.
  • Willingness to work with flexible schedule.
  • Sensitive in working with multiple cultures and beliefs, and to gender equity.
  • Proficient in word processing, spreadsheets, presentation tools, electronic mail (Microsoft office preferred), and internet.

 

Note: Candidates with a valid two-wheeler license who are willing to use their two-wheeler for official field visits are encouraged to apply.
